Access to quality dental services is beyond the reach of many in our
communities for numerous reasons. People in low or moderate income
areas might not have services nearby. Those who are
medically compromised or suffering from conditions such as
HIV/AIDS, cancer, or heart disease may find some dentists reluctant
to treat them. In other cases, inadequate insurance prevents access.
Left untreated, small problems become larger, painful, and more
expensive.
To improve access to dental services for the disadvantaged on Long
Island, Catholic Charities operates an award-winning, state-of-the art
dental clinic. The dental service renders our patients fully
functional and free from discomfort.
Services Provided
Catholic Charities offers patients a continuum of dental care at one
site conveniently located near public transportation. Our dentists
are trained professionals who have completed residency programs
with emphasis on treating the medically compromised population.
Our services include: preventive, restorative, periodontics,
endodontics, prosthosdontics, oral surgery, oral home care
instruction, oral medicine, and emergency treatment. Referrals
to specialists are made if necessary.
Once treatment is completed, follow-up visits are maintained to
ensure the effectiveness of the procedures and help clients make
any necessary adjustments to new dental work.
We love to see your smile!
