As part of our Mission, we are always seeking compassionate, dedicated staff who will offer clients “Care with
Dignity…Life with Hope.” For this position, we are searching for a knowledgeable Bilingual Case Manager
to actively assist clients who arrive on Long Island fleeing war, natural disaster, or personal persecution in
their countries of origin In this role, you will help to acclimate clients to communities, advocate for a full range of services, address employment needs, and ensure that required documentation is completed and submitted on a timely basis.

Key Activities include:
• Perform initial client intake & needs assessment.
• Assist and counsel clients to help acclimate them to their new surroundings orienting them to their new communities and ensuring a smooth process of resettlement.
• Complete client home visits for assessments, counseling and collection of required documentation
• Liaise and advocate with government agencies, community & human services organizations regarding education, healthcare, housing, immigration issues, and legal issues.
• Prepare Individual Employment Plans with clients identifying realistic career/employment goals and the education/training necessary to attain them.
• Monitor clients' progress toward their goals through the retention period and document progress.
• Maintain case files, documentation and develop periodic/ad hoc reports (e.g., incident reports), as required.

Our ideal candidate will possess:
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; BSW preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a human services professional role that demonstrates knowledge of social work/counseling modalities.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish/English.
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
• Ability to manage stress related to addressing client needs and meeting contract deadlines.
• Knowledge and understanding of human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers and victims of human trafficking helpful.
• Clean & valid NYS Driver’s License, auto insurance and personal transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may, on occasion, involve evenings & weekends.
